Nighttime Routine with Beauty Counter

I love that feeling of getting all the makeup and dirt off my face before going to bed! Growing up, I NEVER took care of my skin - no daily lotion, or special face wash, or any sort of skincare regimen. Terrible I know, but I felt like I didn’t really need a regimen. I didn’t wear very much makeup, washed my face with a bar of soap in the shower, and that’s it. When I got to college I started realizing that I needed to moisturize and spruce up my routine for so many reasons! My face started to become really uneven-looking and super oily causing breakouts here and there. I was keeping an eye out for something to help my skin that wasn’t too harsh or full of chemicals. I learned about Beauty Counter though my big sister and saw that her complexion was absolutely GLOWING! I also realized that I’m getting older and I really want to take care of my skin now as a young person. Honestly, I had a hard time spending money on quality skincare because I didn’t see the purpose and I was on a college budget, but I finally decided to try it out and started using the Beauty Counter products. I FELL IN LOVE.

Here’s a rundown of my nighttime routine with Beauty Counter…

Step 1: Cleansing Milk

This calming milk cleanser is so gentle on my skin. I used to think that in order for my face to be fully clean, it needed to feel tight or “squeaky”, but that’s incorrect! I realized my face needs to feel soft and moisturized even before putting on any face lotion.

Step 2: Toner

A fellow Beauty Counter friend recommended I use this toner because my pores are pretty noticeable and my face gets oily. I couldn’t love it more! I just put a little bit on a cotton ball and wipe all over my face to remove oil and dirt.

Step 3: Overnight Resurfacing Peel

This stuff is MAGIC. It’s not an actual peel that you have to peel off of your face. It absorbs into skin and in the morning my face feels so smooth, bright, and more firm. It is recommended to use this 3-4 times a week, so I don’t apply this every night.

Step 4: Intense Moisture Serum (with Brightening or Balancing Oil)

I thought “serum” meant thick, oily gel, but this serum is definitely light and silky! It’s probably my new favorite! I apply a quarter size amount all over face and neck. Then I top it off with a few drop of either the Brightening Oil or the Balancing Oil - they smell AMAZING.
